Former WWE Superstar EC3 made a bold statement as he prepared for his return to Impact Wrestling. In a clear message, EC3 uploaded a cinematic video that featured him burning his old WWE merchandise, symbolically letting go of his past in order to control his own narrative going forward.
The seven-minute video starts with EC3 atop a rooftop staring out over the horizon before pulling out an orange pill bottle with a label that reads “NUMB” affixed to it. Accompanied by a somber, atmospheric score, the short movie follows EC3 as he makes his way through a neighborhood, followed by supporters in hoodies that have “FREE EC3” printed on the front. A poster reads “Control Your Narrative” as and his followers burn his WWE merchandise.
EC3 subsequently attends a wrestling show where he takes part in a cinematic style matchup — a style that has recently become more popular in pro wrestling due to the coronavirus pandemic. After winning the bout, EC3 talks directly to the camera, declaring, “You have been warned.” Originally uploaded ahead of Slammiversary, EC3 initially featured on last night’s episode of Impact Wrestling in another video segment.
In a monologue addressed to the audience, EC3 asks those watching if they’re the type of person to simply accept the given narrative without question or if they wanted to fight back and “find enlightenment” by controlling their own narrative.
He would later attack Moose, seemingly setting him up for a future feud against a wrestler EC3 referred to as a ” false idol”
